The short answer
Axis Bank's support page for credit card statements says: "Your password is a combination of four letters of your name in UPPER CASE (as it appears on your Account Statement (Ignore spaces and periods, if any) and four digits of your date of birth." It adds: "Your alternative password is a combination of four letters of your name in UPPER CASE (as it appears on your Account Statement (Ignore spaces and periods, if any) and the nine digits of your customer Id."

Building the password, step by step
- Take the name as it appears on the statement and drop any spaces and periods.
- Take the first four letters and write them in capitals.
- Add four digits of your date of birth, or, as the alternative, your nine-digit Axis customer ID.
| Name on the statement | Letters to use | Then add |
|---|---|---|
| Anil Kumar | ANIL | four digits of the date of birth, or the 9-digit customer ID |
| A. K. Sharma | AKSH | four digits of the date of birth, or the 9-digit customer ID |

The Axis page does not say which four digits of the date of birth, or in which order. ICICI Bank and BOBCARD both describe day then month (DDMM) for their card statements, so for someone born on 7 March, ANIL0703 is a sensible first try. If it fails, use the customer ID version, or the instructions in the email that brought the statement.
If the statement still will not open
- Use capitals for the letters. Axis says upper case.
- Ignore spaces and periods in the name, as Axis says, so initials run together.
- The customer ID alternative needs all nine digits, with nothing between the letters and the number.
- This rule is for credit card statements. Axis Bank's public pages did not state a password for savings or current account e-statements when checked; follow the email that came with those.
- After ten wrong tries on the same file, DocFig pauses that file for an hour to stop guessing.
Convert the Axis card statement to Excel or CSV
Once the password opens the file, DocFig reads every transaction into a spreadsheet: purchases and fees as money out, payments and refunds as money in. The rows are checked against the totals printed on the statement, so a missed or misread line shows up before you download. Get an Excel workbook with real dates and numbers, or a UTF-8 CSV. See credit card statement to Excel for the details.
What happens to your password and statement
The password is sent over HTTPS with the file and used once, in memory, to open the PDF. It is never stored, logged or sent to the AI model, and nothing from the statement is kept after the rows reach your browser. Card numbers are masked before any text leaves the server. Every step is on the Security page.
