Frequently asked questions
General questions about DocFig. Questions about a specific converter are answered on its own page.
Can DocFig combine a year of bank statements?
Yes. Up to 24 statements at once go into one workbook: a Summary sheet first, one sheet per account, all transactions together, the duplicates removed where two statements overlap, and a Problems sheet naming any missing month or balance that does not carry over.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, login or email address needed to convert a statement.
What does DocFig cost?
Nothing. Free use covers 30 pages a day. A paid Pro plan with higher limits is planned but not on sale, and DocFig takes no payments today.
When does the daily allowance reset?
At midnight UTC. A conversion that fails does not use any of the allowance.
Can I use DocFig on a phone?
Yes. Every page works on a phone, and a photo of a paper statement can be uploaded directly as JPG, PNG or HEIC, the format iPhones use by default.
Which languages are supported?
Statements in most languages written in the Latin alphabet convert from a text PDF. Scans and photos are read with English OCR, so they work best for English statements.
How long are my files kept?
They are not kept. A file is held in memory while it is converted, and the result is deleted from the server as soon as your browser receives it, or after 15 minutes if it is never collected.
Can I ask for my data to be deleted?
Converted statements are never stored, so there is nothing to delete. For a waitlist sign-up or a contact message, write to hello@docfig.com from the address concerned and it will be removed.
Why was my statement converted with rows marked for checking?
DocFig compares each row with the balances and totals printed on the statement. A marked row did not add up, usually because of a misread digit in a scan or a missing line. Compare it with the original; the fix is normally one number.
How do I report a problem or a security issue?
Email hello@docfig.com or use the contact form. Security reports are welcome and are read by a person.
