Questions

What is the password for a PNB statement PDF?

PNB does not publish it. The format reported most often is your full 16-digit account number, digits only. Some account holders report the customer ID instead.

Where do I find my PNB account number?

In your passbook, on your cheque book, and at the top of earlier statements.

Does DocFig guess the password?

No. DocFig uses only the password you type, once, in memory, to open the file. It is never stored, logged or sent to the AI model.

The short answer

Punjab National Bank does not publish its statement password on its website; PNB says only that emailed statements are a "password encrypted document". Account holders and finance sites report two numbers that open PNB statements:

  1. Your full PNB account number, 16 digits, with no spaces. This is the format reported most often.
  2. Your customer ID, also called the CIF number, if the account number does not work.

Sources: PNB for "password encrypted document", and EaseMoney ("use your account number or Customer ID (CIF)"), checked 13 October 2026. The two formats are reports, not a statement from PNB.

Need it in Excel? Drop the locked PDF above, enter the password, and DocFig unlocks and converts it in one step.

Where to find the numbers

If the statement still will not open

Convert the PNB statement to Excel or CSV

Once the password opens the file, DocFig reads every transaction into a spreadsheet: date, description, money out, money in and balance, with UPI, NEFT and IMPS references kept in the description. Each row is checked against the balances printed on the statement, and any row that does not add up is highlighted with the reason. Download an Excel workbook with real dates and numbers, or a UTF-8 CSV for import into accounting or budgeting software. See bank statement to Excel for the workbook details.

What happens to your password and statement

The password you type is sent over HTTPS with the file and used once, in memory, to open the PDF. DocFig does not guess or try passwords for you; it uses only the one you enter. The password is never stored, logged or sent to the AI model, and nothing from the statement is kept after the rows reach your browser. Account numbers are masked before any text leaves the server. Every step is on the Security page.
