The short answer
Union Bank of India does not publish its statement password on its website. The format reported most often by finance sites and account holders is:
The first four letters of your name in capitals, then your date of birth as DDMM.
| Name on the account | Date of birth | Password to try |
|---|---|---|
| Rahul Verma | 7 March | RAHU0703 |
| S. Kavitha | 25 December | SKAV2512 |
Fictional names. The letters come from the name as Union Bank holds it, so an initial counts as a letter.
Need it in Excel? Drop the locked PDF above, enter the password, and DocFig unlocks and converts it in one step.
Formats to try, in order
- First four letters of your name in capitals plus DDMM. Reported for statements downloaded from the Union Bank app and net banking, and by some account holders for emailed statements.
- Your full account number. Older reports, from 2021 and 2022, say statements emailed by Union Bank opened with the account number, digits only.
Sources: CreditMantri ("the first 4 letters of your name, as given on your account, in full caps. And the date and month of your birth in DDMM format") and Paisabazaar, checked 13 October 2026. These are reports, not a statement from Union Bank of India.
If the statement still will not open
- Use capital letters and no spaces.
- Write the date with leading zeros: 7 March is
0703, day first. - If your first name is shorter than four letters, the letters continue into the next part of the registered name.
- Check the email or the download screen. If it states a password rule, that rule wins.
- After ten wrong tries on the same file, DocFig pauses that file for an hour to stop guessing.
Convert the Union Bank statement to Excel or CSV
Once the password opens the file, DocFig reads every transaction into a spreadsheet: date, description, money out, money in and balance, with UPI, NEFT and IMPS references kept in the description. Each row is checked against the balances printed on the statement, and any row that does not add up is highlighted with the reason. Download an Excel workbook with real dates and numbers, or a UTF-8 CSV for import into accounting or budgeting software. See bank statement to Excel for the workbook details.
What happens to your password and statement
The password you type is sent over HTTPS with the file and used once, in memory, to open the PDF. DocFig does not guess or try passwords for you; it uses only the one you enter. The password is never stored, logged or sent to the AI model, and nothing from the statement is kept after the rows reach your browser. Account numbers are masked before any text leaves the server. Every step is on the Security page.
