The short answer
Axis Bank's statement viewer says: "Your password is the combination of four letters of your name in UPPER CASE (as it appears on your Account Statement. Ignore spaces and periods, if any) and nine digits of your Customer ID."
An Axis Bank support page gives the same four letters followed by "four digits of your date of birth" as the main option, with the Customer ID as the alternative. Axis does not say which four digits; account holders and finance sites read it as DDMM.

How to find your Axis Customer ID
Axis Bank says the Customer ID is on your welcome letter and cheque book. You can also send an SMS, CUSTID followed by your 15-digit account number, to +919951860002 or 56161600 from your registered mobile number. Axis's toll-free number is 1800-103-5577.

If the statement still will not open
- Use the name as it appears on the statement, in capitals, without spaces or dots.
- Type all nine digits of the Customer ID, including any leading zeros.
- For a credit card statement, use the name on the card. See the Axis credit card statement password page.
- After ten wrong tries on the same file, DocFig's converter pauses that file for an hour to stop guessing.
Convert the Axis Bank statement to Excel or CSV
Once the password opens the file, DocFig reads every transaction into a spreadsheet: date, description, money out, money in and balance, with UPI, NEFT and IMPS references kept in the description. Each row is checked against the balances printed on the statement, and any row that does not add up is highlighted with the reason. Download an Excel workbook with real dates and numbers, or a UTF-8 CSV for import into accounting or budgeting software. See bank statement to Excel for the workbook details.
What happens to your password and statement
The password you type is sent over HTTPS with the file and used once, in memory, to open the PDF. DocFig does not guess or try passwords for you; it uses only the one you enter. The password is never stored, logged or sent to the AI model, and nothing from the statement is kept after the rows reach your browser. Account numbers are masked before any text leaves the server. Every step is on the Security page.
For other banks, see bank statement password.
