Questions

What is the password for a Yes Bank statement PDF?

Yes Bank does not publish it. The format reported most often is your Customer ID followed by your date of birth as DDMMYYYY, with no spaces. Some reports say the date of birth alone, or the Customer ID alone, opens some statements.

Where do I find my Yes Bank Customer ID?

Yes Bank says it is in your Welcome Kit and on all your account statements, and can be found with the Know your customer ID option on the YES ONLINE registration page.

How many digits is the Customer ID?

Reports differ. Type it exactly as Yes Bank prints it, digits only, without adding or removing zeros.

Does DocFig guess the password?

No. It uses only the password you type. The unlocker on this page runs in your browser, so the file and the password are not uploaded.

The short answer

Yes Bank does not publish its statement password on its website. The format reported most often by finance sites is:

Your Customer ID followed by your date of birth as DDMMYYYY, with no spaces. Example with a placeholder Customer ID 1234567 and a birth date of 7 March 1990: 123456707031990.

Need it in Excel? Drop the locked PDF in the converter above, enter the password, and DocFig unlocks and converts it in one step.

Formats to try, in order

  1. Customer ID, then DDMMYYYY. The format most sources agree on.
  2. Date of birth alone as DDMMYYYY. Reported for some statements.
  3. Customer ID alone. Also reported for some statements.

Reports disagree on whether the Customer ID has seven or nine digits. Type it exactly as Yes Bank prints it.

How to find your Yes Bank Customer ID

Yes Bank says: "The customer ID is mentioned in the Welcome Kit ... All your account statements also carry your Customer ID". You can also use the Know your customer ID option on the YES ONLINE registration page. Yes Bank's customer care number is 1800 1200.

If the statement still will not open

Convert the Yes Bank statement to Excel or CSV

Once the password opens the file, DocFig reads every transaction into a spreadsheet: date, description, money out, money in and balance, with UPI, NEFT and IMPS references kept in the description. Each row is checked against the balances printed on the statement, and any row that does not add up is highlighted with the reason. Download an Excel workbook with real dates and numbers, or a UTF-8 CSV for import into accounting or budgeting software. See bank statement to Excel for the workbook details.

What happens to your password and statement

The password you type is sent over HTTPS with the file and used once, in memory, to open the PDF. DocFig does not guess or try passwords for you; it uses only the one you enter. The password is never stored, logged or sent to the AI model, and nothing from the statement is kept after the rows reach your browser. Account numbers are masked before any text leaves the server. Every step is on the Security page.

For other banks, see bank statement password.
