KSeF invoice viewer: open a Polish e-invoice XML

Read an invoice from Poland's national e-invoicing system (KSeF) like an ordinary invoice. Choose one or more XML files (FA(3) or FA(2)), or a ZIP of them, see the seller, buyer, lines, VAT and payment details in English, print it or save it as a PDF, and download one Excel file with every invoice. The files are read in your browser and never uploaded.

Three steps

How to open a KSeF invoice XML file

  1. 1Choose the XML filesInvoices downloaded from KSeF or from accounting software, one, many or a ZIP.
  2. 2Read the invoiceEach invoice in a readable layout, with the result of plain checks on the sums and the NIP.
  3. 3Print or download ExcelPrint or save one invoice as a PDF, or download Excel and CSV of all of them.

What you see

Each KSeF XML file opens as an ordinary invoice, with English labels.

A sample KSeF FA(3) invoice opened in the viewer: seller and buyer with NIP, four lines at 23%, 5% and exempt, the VAT summary by field P_13 and a total due of 2,003.88 PLN

What it checks

CheckWhat it means
NIPSeller and buyer tax numbers have a valid check digit.
Lines per rateLines at each VAT rate add up to field P_13.
VATVAT matches net x rate, within 2 grosz.
Total dueP_15 equals net plus VAT.
Bank accountThe IBAN or NRB checksum is valid.

A failed check marks the invoice "Check" and shows both figures. This is not KSeF validation.

KSeF number and verification link

The KSeF number is not inside the XML. A file downloaded from KSeF usually has it in its name, and the page shows it then.

The page also builds the official verification link (KOD I) from the file. Nothing is sent unless you click it.

Nothing is uploaded

Questions

How do I open a KSeF invoice XML file?

Choose it on this page or drop it on the box. The invoice appears as a readable document with English labels: seller, buyer, lines, VAT rates, total due and payment. Many files at once, or a ZIP, work too.

Is a printout from this page a valid invoice?

No. The invoice is the structured invoice stored in KSeF: the XML file with its KSeF number. A printout or PDF from this page is a readable copy to check, print or file.

Where is the KSeF number?

Not inside the XML: KSeF assigns it when it accepts the invoice. A file downloaded from KSeF usually carries the number in its name (NIP, date, then a code), and the page shows it when it does.

What is the KSeF verification link?

It is the link in the invoice's QR code, called KOD I by the Polish Ministry of Finance: the seller's NIP, the issue date and a SHA-256 hash of the file. The page works it out from your file. Clicking it opens the Ministry's page that shows whether the invoice is in KSeF; nothing is sent unless you click.

Why is an invoice marked Check?

One of the plain checks failed: the lines at a VAT rate do not add up to field P_13, the VAT does not match the rate, the total due (P_15) is not net plus VAT, or the NIP or bank account has a wrong check digit. The invoice details show both figures. This is not KSeF validation.

Does it read FA(2) and corrective invoices?

Yes. It reads FA(3), in use since 1 February 2026, and the older FA(2). Corrective invoices show the lines before and after the correction, with the reason and the corrected invoice's number.

Who has to use KSeF, and from when?

Businesses with 2024 sales above PLN 200 million including VAT since 1 February 2026, all others since 1 April 2026. Until 31 December 2026, invoices can still be issued outside KSeF in a month when their total including VAT stays within PLN 10,000. Source: ksef.podatki.gov.pl (Polish).

Are the invoices uploaded?

No. The files are read in your browser, and the Excel and CSV are made on your device. No invoice is sent to DocFig or anyone else.
